The 2013 edition of Museum night fever is scheduled to take place in the evening of Saturday, 2 March.

The concept: From 19:00h to 01:00h that evening, there will be a series of special activities, such as concerts, guided visits, dance, entertainment, snacks and workshops as random as “Pimp my book” at the Librarium or getting a hand massage at the Royal Armed Forces Museum. The events take place in 23 museums around Brussels (see full list here), and not just any random museums, but some of the city’s best (the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Coudenbergh are some of my picks).

Want to stay up late(r)? There is an after party from 23:00h to 06:00h at the Brussels Event Brewery (buy your tickets in advance).

How much? Tickets range from 8 euros (advance purchase for museums only) to 17 euros (museums and afterparty on the day of).

Short on cash and want to go for free? Two options: (1) Enter the STIB contest to win one of 25 pairs of tickets to the event by answering to a couple of questions and getting lucky… (2) Volunteer for a 3 to 4-hour shift at the event, get paid 10 euros and a free t-shirt and free entrance (you have to be between 18 and 35 and speak French or Dutch). Details on the event homepage.
