About

So what’s in this blog?
Just some random tips and
ideas of things to do and places to go in Brussels and its “surroundings”, using a broad definition of the term, i.e., Paris, London, Amsterdam, and pretty much any city that can be easily reached by train or plane from Brussels!

Feedback and requests
Your feedback and comments are most welcome. Questions about things to do and places to see and to go eat, drink, etc. in Brussels and beyond? Just post them and I will try to respond either with a comment or a relevant post.

  8. Hi, your blog is a great source of information and we were lucky to find it while doing our Brussels pre-departure research last summer.
Anyway, we recently posted a a Report from our trip to Brussels (http://www.bookstoreguide.org/2008/09/report-from-brussels.html), which describes our impressions of the local anglophone bookstore scene. We thought that you may find the article interesting for your readers as well. If you like it, you’re more than welcome to add a link and use any parts of the article in your blog.

    Cheers,

    Ivan & Sonja

  9. This is great content. Most of the “BXL knowledge” sites out there are either full of guff or else the info is totally obsolete.

I could have done with finding your site a few months ago when we first arrived here, rather than stumbling upon it only now and almost by chance, but it’s really welcome anyway!

    Thank you!

    Mike

We think it will be of interest to your readers.

    With best regards,

    Kevin

  14. Hey

    – heel overzichtelijke gebruikersinterface

  16. Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.st wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. 23. Only four days to go before the Early Birds campagne at La Monnaie comes to an end. Hurry, because this action is limited in time and space because we sell a certain amount of seats at 10% reduction of the total price for Shell Shock, Medúlla and Creation 2015. These three extraordinary projects combine Nick Cave’s texts for Shell Shock, Björk’s music for Medúlla, the first intergenerational project in La Monnaie and the music of Brian Eno for the new dance performance of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Welcome!

  26. hi! your blog is very nice. i live outside of Belgium and would like to send a gift to a friend in Brussels. any suggestions?
i thought of sending something from the patisserie Yasushi Sasaki. do you know if they home deliver? since, they probably don’t do you know of some delivery service i can use for this kind of thing?
    thanks, lital

    • Try calling Yasushi Sasaki… You never know. Since Brussels is small, if it’s not too far, they might deliver. I know Wittamer delivers within Brussels for a fee. Marcolini does as well and you can shop online.
